VOCAL DRUMS

Taufiq Qureshi.....A famous percussionist and son of legendry Ustad Allarakha and brother of maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain. http://www.taufiqqureshi.com/concise_profile.htm

His talent is simply creativity for you and me but a true god's gift for him. And very certainly he has nurtured it really well. Salute to him for that. I wish everyone of us has an inborn talent which will take us to the path of success. Somehow, this statement seems to be a food for thought! Is it really that, each and every person has an inborn talent? Is it just a question of recognizing it and developing it? I think not everyone has it, what do you people think? Well, take a look at a clip of this percussion performance / fusion and then comment!!

I definitely feel everyone has an innate skill which usually is not recognized. For some people it could be painting, some it could be singing and so on. But the point I am moving towards is this skill could be absolutely anything! Things like say balancing 2-3 cups of tea, identifying people's voices, remembering directions to places, solving puzzles, being able to use a device you have seen for the first time. However mundane and simple the above things seem, if you can identify these talents and harness them at an early stage you can stand out from the rest. It's just that we are made to believe by society that these are not any great achievements. And that's the reason why they go un-recognized as a skill.
All this in my humble opinion ofcourse! :)

I absolutely agree with Ram. Everyone has a skill, may not quite dwell in the same lines of your career interests; but cultivating that skill will definitely give you satisfaction and recognition, even if amongst peers.
